Chill Masters Records présente HIP HOP SYMPOSIUM.
Un projet réunissant 16 artistes de la scène Hip Hop indépendante autour de 8 EPs. Au total, 28 oeuvres célébrant un style musical revendicatif et originellement underground.
Par définition, un Symposium est une “Réunion ou congrès de spécialistes, consacré à un thème scientifique particulier”. C’est dans cet esprit fédérateur que le projet Hip Hop Symposium naît l’année dernière au sein du jeune label toulousain, dans le but de mettre en lumière des producteurs et beatmakers, réels scientifiques de ce style musical. Ce sont donc 16 artistes, français et internationaux, qui ont contribué au projet par la composition d’un single ou d’un EP. Les 28 titres produits forment un ensemble éclectique, porté par des spécialistes aux multiples talents.
Pour ces productions, pas de barrières. La volonté étant de laisser libre court à la créativité des musiciens et à leurs influences afin de proposer un réel tour d’horizon du hip-hop. En accord avec la philosophie du label qui est de soutenir et découvrir des artistes aux univers variés, la composition de ce projet aboutit à un métissage passionnant.
Alternant beats old school et new wave, ces créations nous emmènent en voyage au fil des EPs. De ProleteR à Poldoore, en passant par Phoniks, Awon, FloFilz ou encore The Geek x VRV, ce sont des interprétations différentes d’un même genre musical que nous offrent les artistes de ce Hip Hop Symposium.

Chill Masters Records presents HIP HOP SYMPOSIUM. A project gathering 16 artists of the independant hip hop scene around 8 EPs. A total of 28 tracks celebrating an art movement originally underground.
By definition, a Symposium is a “Meeting of specialists dedicated to a particular scientific topic”. It is in this unifying spirit that the project was born a year ago within the young french label following the aim of bringing to light producers and beatmakers, real scientists of this musical genre.
A total of 16 french and international artists have contributed to the project by composing a single or a complete EP. Those 28 tracks form an eclectic set, carried by specialists of many talents. For the productions, no limits, as the will is to give free rein to the musicians’ creativity and their influences to propose a quality overview of the hip hop scene.
In harmony with the label’s philosophy which is supporting and discovering artists of many universes, the composition of this project lead us to a passionating mix. Between famous artists and newcomers: let’s give back to music what it’s always been, a perpetual revival and shared feelings.
